  • Pages start showing up much sooner. A round of work across the site cut how long you wait in front of a blank page. The biggest change is on arguments, which used to show nothing at all until everything had loaded.
  • Arguments start appearing straight away. Opening an argument used to show nothing until the whole page was ready — several seconds on a slow connection, with no sign anything was happening. The page layout now appears immediately and fills in as the argument loads. Arguments that don't exist, or that you don't have access to, respond exactly as before.
  • Arguments are also lighter to open. An argument page now sends about half as much code to your browser as it did, and a smaller page along with it, so it becomes usable faster once it arrives — most noticeably on a phone or a slow connection.
  • Explore starts appearing straight away. The page used to stay blank until every argument had loaded. The heading now appears immediately, with placeholder cards standing in for the feed, and the arguments fill in as they arrive.
  • The token battery is back on your avatar. The small battery indicator showing how much of your monthly AI allowance is left had quietly disappeared in a redesign. It is back, it now reads out to screen readers, and it loads after the page rather than in front of it — so it costs you nothing on the way in.
  • The footer no longer sits on top of the page. After you had opened an argument, every page you moved to afterwards drew the footer across the bottom of the window, over the text you were still reading, instead of at the end of the page. Reloading fixed it until the next time you opened an argument. The footer now stays where it belongs.
  • Renaming an argument shows the new name at once — and tells you when it doesn't stick. The new title used to appear only after the save came back, and a save that failed quietly put the old title back with nothing said, which read as the rename having been ignored. The new name now appears the moment you submit it, and a rename the server won't accept explains itself.
