Taking a break, or leaving

Your account settings now offer two clearly separate choices instead of one.

Deactivate is the new one, and it's reversible. Your account and your arguments stop being listed for other people, and you're signed out — but nothing is deleted. Sign back in whenever you like and everything comes back exactly as it was, including anything you'd paid for. Arguments you built together with someone else stay where they are.

Delete is still there and still permanent. Your name, username, email and picture are erased and you can never sign in with that account again; arguments you wrote stay published, without your name on them. Both options now explain what they actually do before you commit, and deletion says plainly that it cannot be undone.

Signing in

If a sign-in doesn't go through, you'll now see one clear message pointing you at support@proposit.app, in the app itself rather than on a bare error page. Problems that are nothing to do with your account — a provider that isn't set up, or too many attempts in a row — still tell you exactly what happened.

Reading an argument

If a claim inside an argument has been taken down, the argument no longer quietly falls apart around it. The claim's place stays where it was, marked as removed, so the structure still reads and the reasoning still resolves — you can see there's a gap rather than being left to wonder what the author meant.

Searching Explore

The search box on Explore now narrows the list to what you searched for, instead of only shuffling the same arguments into a different order. Search for an argument by name and it comes to the top; search for something nobody has written about and you get a plain "no arguments match your search" rather than the whole catalogue rearranged.

Getting around with the keyboard

If you navigate with the Tab key, you can now see where you are. Whatever you move to — a button, a link, a tab, a text box — is marked with a clear outline that stands out in both the light and dark colour schemes. Before, most of the app gave you nothing to go on.

One place got the opposite fix: the row of stage icons shown while an import is running was stopping the Tab key even though there was nothing to do there. It now steps out of the way.

Starting a new argument

The New argument button in the top bar now opens the creation dialog every time. Clicking it while you were already on your dashboard used to change the address bar and nothing else — that's fixed.

Argument links that go nowhere

A link to an argument version that isn't there — mistyped, removed, or never written — used to land on a nearly blank screen that looked like the page had half-loaded. It now shows a proper "not found" page with a way back to browsing, and offers to try the version before the one you asked for.

Under the hood

Account deletion is now handled as an explicit, one-way step rather than a flag on your record. If a delete request arrives from a session that is no longer valid, the app now says the session has expired instead of reporting a generic server error. While an account is deactivated, its arguments step out of the listings and search, and come back exactly as they were on the next sign-in.
