Arguments you can open without a mouse

Argument cards on Explore and your dashboard are now real links. You can reach them with the Tab key and open them with Enter, see where one goes before you click it, open one in a new tab with a middle-click, and copy its address from the right-click menu. The whole card still responds to a click as before. Previously cards only responded to a plain mouse click, and screen readers announced them as ordinary text.

Your working draft is easy to find again

After you publish an argument, Proposit starts the next version as a draft for you. Your dashboard used to hide that: the Drafts count stayed at zero, the Drafts filter came up empty, and the card opened the unpublished draft while calling itself Published.

Now a published argument that has a draft open is counted and listed under both Published and Drafts, the card opens the version other people see, and a "Draft" link beside it takes you straight to the copy you are still working on.

Easier to read

A round of contrast and legibility fixes across the app, checked in both light and dark mode:

• Profile pictures pick a light or dark letter to suit their background colour. Depending on your username and which mode you were in, the letter could previously be almost invisible.
• The Published and Draft labels on an argument, the "Creator" label in Participants, the small separators in an argument's summary line, and the sponsor credit on the home page are all readable now. Several were too faint to meet accessibility standards, especially in light mode.
• The smallest text on the home page is no longer set at nine pixels, and no longer shrinks further on a narrow screen.
• The close button on a notification is easier to see against its background.
• Claims not yet used in an argument are marked in words as well as by colour, so the distinction reaches a screen reader rather than only a sighted reader.

Better with a screen reader or keyboard

• Every page now has a single main heading, a properly ordered heading outline to navigate by, and a main content area that skip-to-content can jump to.
• The top navigation is marked up as navigation, so assistive tech can jump straight to it.
• Filter buttons on your arguments list, and the mode picker in the New argument dialog, now say which option is active instead of only showing it.
• The support-versus-counter bar reports the actual split rather than being hidden entirely.
• The reason list that opens when you vote on a claim is announced as a menu with a proper name.

Smaller fixes

• Signing in from a link to a page you could not open yet now returns you to that page instead of dropping you on the home page with no explanation.
• Your arguments list tells you when it is empty, and distinguishes having no arguments from having them all hidden by a filter.
• The release notes index no longer shows stray underscores and asterisks from the underlying formatting, and no longer cuts entries off mid-word.
• Two definitions in the Privacy Policy were missing the space after the bold term. Fixed, along with the same problem elsewhere on that page and on the "page not found" page.
• The Privacy Policy title no longer sits flush against the top bar.
• The Tasks page matches the width and title size of Claims and Sources, so moving between them no longer makes the page jump.
• The sign-out page is styled like the rest of Proposit instead of a plain unbranded page.
